History
History of Carmel
From a hovel to a haven reads the Carmel school story.
Great efforts make great achievements. One such dream with penultimate effort has made Carmel School an institution par excellence. A humble beginning in one building was the stepping stone to the 5 floor institution which is today the pride of Padmanabhanagar. ‘Great thinkers create wonderful structures.’ We proclaim with privilege that our Founder, our Chairman has the fervour, fastidiousness , insight, intuition and perception to realise a dream which was a challenge many would dread to surmount.
Each endeavour only led to better prospects. From a staff of 15 odd members it rose to embrace countless people giving employment and opportunity, inspiring them to work with extreme enthusiasm which epitomised the support and encouragement of our Honourable Chairman. His great rapport, supreme PR skills, discernment and the ability to feel the pulse of the parents became the unending ladder which took the School to lofty heights which almost none could surpass. From a simple building with basics like few classrooms, benches, blackboards and other simple amenities.
The institution, in leaps and bounds, now deservedly boasts of growth innumerable as stars in the sky, umpteenth well -furnished, comfortable classrooms, top of the order infrastructure, libraries for each level, smart boards, labs and CCTVS, to ensure the safety of our students, to mention a few. An array of Carmel School vans ply to and fro throughout the day. From a visionary this vision became a reality ,a true widespread distribution of education. The mantra of ‘teach one and train a country’ may sound very idealistic but at Carmel it’s a feast for fair eyes.
Our school stands as a solitary example of a hubbub of activity where Parents freely stroll in to express their views, clarifications and concerns which is immediately resolved. Students find themselves in a safe, secure ambience. A lifespan of 33 odd years has made Carmel a ‘home away from home’ for the staff who continue to serve dedicatedly for years with the support of the Principals of their respective levels.
‘This tall building is not merely a structure but a huge heart which beats for every soul connected to it’ would be the apt description for this institution. The Carmel biography would read as ‘It came, it grew and it flourished’ Originals are difficult to duplicate and so it is with Carmel School, Padmanabhanagar.

About the Chairman
‘Icons and Figureheads’ live upto others’ expectations. One such iconic personality who made and continues to make an impact on many lives is the Chairman/ Founder of Carmel.
He is a suave family man, strangely simplistic and serene in his attitude, a communicative, forthright, tactful and dynamic enigma. Conversations with him defy the timeline that one could sit for hours and still be interested to continue. A multi-linguist, his interests run from the academic curriculum to sports to music to cultural activities to everything and anything. His demeanour and humility demand and deserve courtesy. A singer par excellence, music never fails to touch his heart and win it, in the bargain. His concern for his staff and their family, the youth at large makes a mockery of the whim that ‘The great seldom smile’. Meetings with him, mean not only business but also small talk and rapport-building. The blatant truth would be that teachers, ever in the most dire of situations rarely reinstate a wish to resign, after a meeting.
About Vice-Chairman
A suave, well-groomed gentleman with propriety, panache would be an apt description for the Vice Chairman of Carmel School. An impeccable demeanor, a pleasing personality and exemplary etiquettes are his ornaments which he carries with flourish and finesse. ‘A gentleman to the boot is his signature’.
